Nancy Drew
The planning for a love mystery
8th-Mar-2009 10:11 pm
Bess dialed Nancy's phone, anxious to talk about her cousin's different new..appearance and sometimes unusual behavior.

She grinned when someone finally answered.

"Told you I was dialing!" She exclaimed excitedly.

"Thank goodness! And just in time! So...what do YOU think about George? Think she's in love?" Nancy said, teasing.
9th-Mar-2009 05:16 am (UTC)
"Yeah, you got me thinking along those lines!" Bess giggled. "She looks so different these days. But she looks nicer, in my opinion!"
9th-Mar-2009 05:17 am (UTC)
Nancy nodded.

"I think so too. Make up looks good on her. But I think we should find out WHO and fast! Who knows how long George will keep this up. You know George..." Nancy said with a sigh.

"Yes..she keeps everything to her, as much as possible." Bess said. "Unless, we solve this soon and catch her. But we need to plan something first. Do you have any ideas in mind?"

Knowing Nancy, she already knew her friend already had some things in mind for the investigation. Even before she answered the question.

Nancy grinned. It was like Bess to ask the same question for every single mystery they'd have.

"First of all, I need you to promise to never tell George about this...just yet. Then, I already have my mystery diary out. I have a few other questions in mind right now. We have to find out George's schedule for the next few days. Then we need to spy of her as much as possible, even though I hate doing that to a friend, and we need to trail her," Nancy stopped reading from her diary, when she realized something. "Think you can find out her schedule?" she asked carefully. She wasn't sure exactly HOW capable Bess was of finding something without attracting questions to herself.

12th-Mar-2009 06:20 am (UTC)
"Oh!" Bess brightened up. "I'm pretty sure her parents know about her whole schedule! Should I ask them? Or do you think that's a bad idea? Think they'd tell George about it?"
13th-Mar-2009 03:08 am (UTC)
Nancy thought for a minute about Bess's question. "Well," she began slowly. "I'll give you two choices. The first one is that you sneak in her room while I distract her. I know it's invasion of property, but George is so organzied, you could find anything," she laughed. "Or two, you could ask her parents, and tell them it's for one of Nancy's cases so they cannot tell a soul. But even if they tell her, she can't do anything to stop us sfrom solving this," Nancy said.

She realized that she was the one who was doing all the talking, and suddenly felt like she was excluding Bess. "OH, Bess, I'm sorry. I didn't let you do what you think. I'm just really excited about this mystery."
14th-Mar-2009 10:37 am (UTC)
"No, it's alright." Bess assured Nancy.

"I think sneaking in her room is safer." She chose. "Well, it may not be so physically safe..but, it's better than asking her parents randomly about it. I may be her cousin, but that doesn't mean I have the right to know everything about her...Anyway, we need to decide on a date."

Nancy smiled slyly.

"Well, I do happen to know that tonight, George has softball practice around seven. Maybe one of us could stay there at the field "waiting" for her, while the other one sneaks through her stuff," Nancy deliberated.
26th-Mar-2009 03:50 am (UTC)
"Sounds like a plan!" Bes exclaimed excitedly. "So, we meet at the field, and someone distracts her and the other one sneaks..Nan, you're good at sneaking. I'm sure I'll be able distract George. You know me." She said, flipping her hair to the side. "Just be quick, okay? I mean, if you DO agree with our roles."
26th-Mar-2009 06:30 pm (UTC)
Nancy grinned at Bess's enthusiasm.

"Of course I agree! I don't really care who does what, as long as it gets done! And not to be too obvious, maybe you could just call her up in an hour or something, and ask her if you could go along. All you really have to do is make sure she doesn't leave earlier than softball practice really ends. I need about ten to twenty minutes to find exactly what I'm looking for," Nancy explained. "Oh, and call me when she leaves. I have to do some errands for Dad, so I don't know how long I'll be gone."
27th-Mar-2009 02:01 am (UTC)
"Ok, great plan Nan! I'll call her right now, while you get ready." Bess told her friend. "Oh my God! My nail polish! Oh, I'll just finish this THEN go. See you there!" She bid goodbye before hanging up.
